My favorite game of all time. Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XV came out in 2016 for Xbox One and Playstation 4. The Game took 10 years to make due to rewriting the script, gameplay overhauls, several delays and starting from scratch several times. It was originally announced as Final Fantasy Verses XIII, a spin-off game for the Playstation 3 back in 2006. Originally directed by Tetsuya Nomura, who was the director of Kingdom Hearts series. But during development, the director was changed to Hajime Tabata. With the director change, the game was practically scraped, and Tabata had to start from scratch. The game went silent for over 7 years, with fears from the hype train passengers thinking it was cancelled. But during E3 of 2013, the game resurfaced and was re-branded as Final Fantasy XV! The next 2 years came with gameplay videos showing story, combat, characters, and the world. Then the release date was finally revealed in September 2016, until it was delayed for another 2 months, BUT THEN it was finally released in November! And it was worth it!
FF XV is an action rpg, playing from a third person perspective. You can play as 4 characters (above from left to right) Gladio, Ignis, Prompto and Noctis. Each character specializes in a certain combat style. Noctis specializes in many different weapons, and serves as the middle ground. He can wield swords, greatswords, daggers, spears, guns, magic, and special weapons known as the royal arms. Being the heir to the throne and son of the king, he has the power of kings. This power helps him summon his weapons seamlessly, and allow him to teleport around the battlefield. Later on in the story, he gains the ability to loan some of his power to his friends, allowing the party to dominate alongside him. Gladio serves as the muscles of the group, and bodyguard of Noctis. He wields greatswords, and shields. He is the strongest of the group, but the slowest. While playing as him, he swings his heavy sword, cutting threw the wind, and decimates anything he touches. The more hits you get in, the stronger his rage grows, resulting in more powerful combos for him the use. Ignis is the brains of the group. He specializes in daggers, spears, and magic. Ignis uses strategic techniques and provides support. He goes around the battlefield swiftly providing useful buffs and healing the party. While playing as him, he imbues his daggers with either fire, ice, or thunder magic. Fire specializes against single foes, ice is best used against many foes, and lightning is best used against flying foes. Similar to Gladio, he builds up potency, and the more you have, the faster your attacks become, and if you get it to max, you can do a powerful elemental attack. Prompto is the optimistic ranger of the group. He uses guns. Although he is the weakest of the group, he is very useful. By using guns, Prompto can stay out of harms way and fight from afar. While playing as him, the game turns into a third person shooter, and you have many guns at your disposal.
The story of FF XV is quite simple. After decades of constant war, the kingdom of Lucis could finally have a peace against the imperial forces of Nifilheim. With Noctis as the heir to the throne, and his close childhood friend Lunafreya as princess of the Imperials, the plan is the two to marry in a neutral country finally ceasing war. Noctis travels with his 3 guardians, and best bros, Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto, to the neutral city of Altissia, to marry Lunafreya, and bring peace to Eos. So in a nutshell, you and your best bros go on an epic roadtrip around the world.

I love Final Fantasy XV. I have never played a game that was so good, that i never got tired playing. Even capturing gameplay for this project was fun! I don’t think there will be another game that i would love more than this game.
